Big Sticks and Small Carrots is a blog about politics, foreign policy, war, the media and a seemingly random collection of other subjects.
I'm Garry Smith, I live in Aberdeen on the north east coast of Scotland and I've nothing to declare. I have an interest in politics but no connections to any political party or media organisation. For better or for worse, I'm the only one responsible for what's written here.

You will note that this is getting considerably more attention over at Iain’s than the £8.3 million the Tory party had to return. You’ll love his spin on the latter, BTW.

I did indeed.
The Tories taking huge amounts of money from an obviously mentally ill man so they could “fight the evil-wicked Demons-SATANS” merits only a cheap joke and a stock diversionary tactic.
Fighting this man’s family in court in an attempt to keep the money must be part Dave’s new Compassionate Conservative approach…

Hahaha… you’ll want to watch out, you will. The foot-soldiers of compassion will be all over you otherwise.
